30-30 Blanco * Tasted Blind May 2009 * Riedel Tequila Glass

Appearance: clear - thick body and slow tears
Aroma: agave, grassy & herbal, hint of orange, subtle alcohol
Initial Taste: light agave, grass and lemon
Spirit Body: sweet herbal agave
Finish / Aftertaste: heated mouthfeel, long aftertaste of spicy mint

At $18 per bottle this 100% blanco is a deal, perfect for margaritas, and fine as a sipper. 30-30 tastes authentic, and feels like Mexico.

I love trying out value brands. I had the reposado and thought it was wonderful in the $20 range. So much so that I needed to go out and get the blanco.

Aroma: Grassy/Earthy agave with a hint of citrus and mint.
Initial Taste: Nice full agave flavor. Again, hints of citrus and a touch of spice.
Body: Thick body for a blanco. Coats the mouth well and there's a spicy agave flavor with grass and earth notes.
Finish: The best part of this tequila. The finish is long, spicy and awesome with a touch of mint.

For under $20, this is a steal. This could be my go to value blanco from this point forward. The flavors are bold and rich, the body is full, the price is awesome. What more could you want?

Tasted neat and in cocktails

30-30 Blanco

Color: clear
Aroma: agave and alcohol
Taste: light on the tongue with the taste of pure agave and a touch of jet fuel spice

I have added 30-30 blanco to my 'recession' Tequila. If I am unable to find a bottle of either Cabrito Blanco or Puerto Vallarta then this is my third choice for a spicy highland Tequila. Once I receive my tax payer bail out I will spend it on my blanco favorites Chinaco, Siete Leguas, El Tesoro, Corralejo and Milagro.

This tequila is 'great' for its price range. A prefect buy if you need a blanco mixer whose flavor can cut through the mix.
Aroma: Peppery Agave

Initial taste: Mild and short burning alcohol sensation.

Body: Nothing to report but Agave and slight chemical.

Finish and duration: Same agave finish with short duration.
