Cant say this is a memorable line for me. Then again, Im not a fan of 1800 either and its from the same distillery.

Aroma: Cooked agave, probably my favorite part of this tequila.
Initial taste: A sweet entry with a slight bitterness. First taste is cinnamon.
Body: Agave, earth, and cinnamon.
Finish: A slightly heted finish with a short lingering of agave.

I bought this in Indiana for $40 if memory serves me well. It was on clearance there and for that price I think it was a good buy. Not a great anejo, but very good. I wouldn't buy it again, but wouldn't complain about it either.

Very sweet aroma, floral, light spice, and a smokey oak which was very present in the body as well. I wish there was a bit more agave flavor, but the nice sweet taste was fairly light and crisp for what a medium, almost thick (not quite, but thicker than I thought it would be), anejo. There was a small hint of vanilla too that was nice, but for me the primary flavors overall were oak and kind of a sweet floral flavor (I don't usually describe a FLAVOR as floral, but it kind of tasted like the floral scent in it if that makes sense).

Anyway... good anejo, not great, but respectable for sure.

Gran Centenario Anejo (Green Label) NOM 1122 Tasted 6/29/07 at 4:10pm. On this date I tried this tequila at Zocalo using a snifter. This tequila is an amber brown color and has intense aromas of earth and fruit. There are also moderate aromas of caramel and vanilla followed by mild notes of floral and spice. A soft taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a low amount of sweetness with mild bitterness. The Gran Centenario Anejo flavor contains intense agave flavors with moderate floral and earth. The tequila also has mild notes of fruit, caramel, wood, chemicals, and smoke. Gran Centenario Anejo finishes with a medium to long duration of flavor and a subtle numbing alcohol feeling. This tequila has been awarded the overall rating of 87 points out of 100.

I really enjoy this anejo. It is very simple, has a sweet aroma, lots of oak , vanilla, a little smoke and spice. It is smooth but the finish is a little weak, but still a great tequila for the price. The presentation is ok, a little simple, but I like the cool cardboard tube it comes in.
