Scorpion Mezcal Tequilana Weber Silver

Scorpion Mezcal Tequilana Weber Silver is produced from 100% Tequilana Weber Agave from Las Salinas, Oaxaca, Mexico. The Tequilana Weber Agave is steam cooked, distilled in a copper pot still, and bottled after distillation.

The Tequilana Weber (also known as Blue Agave) variety of Agave is the most famous, and used to make Tequila. The Mezcal Denomination of Origin allows the use of the Tequilana Weber Agave for Mezcal as long as it is grown in the authorized territory. Not so commonly grown in Oaxaca, it is high in sugar content and takes 7 kilos of Agave to produce one liter of Mezcal.
