Sauza Conmemorativo Anejo, NOM 1102. I tried this tequila for the second time after enjoying my 1966 vintage so much. Conmemorativo might have even been 100% agave at that time. I enjoyed this spirit in my Cognac snifter for Father's Day along with another.
The nose displayed slight oak with medium alcohol followed by a slightly aged taste with mild sweetness. The medium body lacked the depth characteristically associated with most better anejo's. This was all followed by an abrupt, alcohol finish with relative smoothness. Missing were many of the discrete flavor elements that make anejo's & 100% agave tequilas so complex.
