Bought 3/2/10, paid $55. Had 2 oz from a tall shot glass and then another 2 :). First off let me say the bottle is a bit of a let down when compared to other quality anejo's. Color is a light straw, not near as dark as I would have expected for 24 months in the barrel. The nose is sweet, a bit of caramel, floral nothing overpowering. When sipped, holds nicely on the tongue and the true nature of this tequila comes to life, very complex, way more flavor here than you can catch in a couple of oz's. Leaves a nice burnt almond taste in the mouth after awhile, very smooooooth. Has a nice body and full bodied finish, will leave you asking for more! What a great surprise, the time in the barrel was not lost on the agave, many time the agave will take on the character of the barrel and the agave is lost over time. In fact this is the "Forrest Gump" of anejo's... you'll pick up something new every time you taste it. Don't be fouled by a so so bottle, it does seal completely btw, like all good things, it is whats inside that counts. enjoy...
