I had Gran Centenario Reposado for the first time this weekend.
At first "nose", the aroma of caramel is released and continues through the initial taste.
I thought it was relatively smooth with a mild bite.
I would buy it again but not for $43.00. It should be in the $35 range.

I had the Gran Centenario Anejo and I liked it a lot more than I thought that I would. I'm always up for being pleasantly surprised a 2nd time by the same brand.

Aroma: A nice mix of sweet agave, floral notes and spice.
Initial Taste: Sweet & spicy agave with hints of caramel and cinnamon.
Body: Medium thickness and semi-oily. A nice all around experience. Good agave character and nice aging. It's not remarkable in any flavor aspect. It's just a well crafted reposado.
Finish: Medium-long finish with a nice spice linger. Not too much wood an no bitterness. It goes down very smoothly.

I don't like this one quite as much as the older one, but it's still very good. The fact that it can be found easily and is around the $25 range makes it something that you should probably keep a look out for. It's definitely worth trying.

Fairly smooth with a mild alcohol burn. Nice colour and viscosity.
The only area that this tequila really falls short is the presentation. The bottle simply doesn't do anything for me.

He recommended it as a family favourite that was underrated and generally "flew under the radar" with tourists and non-Mexicans and I can't thank him enough. It is smooth but not too smooth or light. That is to say that it still has a full flavour and finishes with just enough alcohol bite to be compared to the experience of sipping a fine scotch or bourbon. The price belays its quality as it can be purchased in Mexican grocery and department stores for under $20 US, yet I prefer it to reposados in the $100 US range. You could easily offer this tequila to novices and aficionados alike with confidence.

Ugly bottle though.

Gran Centenario Reposado in my opinion is a very good tequila that should be enjoyed by all.

Since I wasn't too impressed with their blanco, I wasn't expecting much further down their line. But I have to admit, their reposado is much tastier to me than their blanco. A very nice sipper.

Aroma: Very intense floral and agave.
Initial Taste: Upon entry, a semi oily feel, sweet with no bitterness.
Body: Intense agave and floral, with a hint of caramel and cinnamon.
Finish: A slightly heated finish of medium to long duration. The flavor of this one lingers for a while.

Tasting this tequila showed me that not all tequilas can be judged by their blanco. Go figure.

In my opinion this is a truly fine tequila with a light amber color & nice, long, symmetrical legs extending to the top of the glass. The first nose is that of light agave followed by slight oak & caramel. The sweet, peppery initial taste is openly inviting with a nice aged quality. Vanilla & more peppery spice forms a deep, consistent body. This entire experience finishes with an enveloping veil of agave nectar, tingling sensation, & tapers off beautifully. A slight numbing warms the entire palate & adds to the overall smoothness. This is my favorite reposado to date. It mixes superbly in a Margarita or with grapefruit soda. Very enjoyable strait, on the rocks, etc. Top shelf. A+

Sweet and smooth with hints of spice (cinnamon & vanilla) with fruit (Citrus and pear) this is a definite must to be consumed neat or on the rocks.

With a yellow golden color, Gran Centenario Reposado has an intense floral aroma. Less apparent are moderate fruit and mild spice, earth, and caramel aromas. Upon initial taste, the tequila has a medium, oily mouth feel and is soft and mellow on the tip of the tongue. Intense flavors of floral and agave accents are followed by moderate earth, pepper, and spice flavors. The finish consists of a numbing alcohol intensity and a medium-to-long duration of flavor. I rate this tequila at the A- range.
