Looks crystal clear white, leaves long legs around my snifter glass, tear drops form throughout the pour.
Nose is pretty straightforward but enjoyable. Notes of agave and earthiness.
Taste develops nicely, agave, spice and sweetness begin to develop, minty flavors.
Finish is long, peppery, but never harsh, sweet and mineral.
Mouthfeel is medium to full, somewhat oily.
Overall this is a solid blanco tequila for sipping.

Im so behind the times LOL. Im a HUGE El Tesoro fan that I didn't want to stray. That being said, ET has been discontinued in my area while they rebrand so now I can try Tapatio.

Aroma: A surprisingly light nose of agave and dill.
Initial Taste: A thin mouth feel. No bitterness. Initial taste of that world class La Alteña distillery!
Body: Wonderful body of agave, dill, and citrus. In that order.
Finish: An unheated finish, with a pleasant agave lingering.

Most definitely the great taste I've come to love out of La Alteña, lacking a little heat. But that is a personal preference. Still a great blanco for sipping. And 1 liter bottle!

A light agave aroma. Initial taste was a little mellow with no burn. The body was the best part of this one with a decent agave body with notes of citrus and grass. A decent finish but nothing to write home about.
I enjoyed this blanco as a sipper. But I am not blown away.

A sharp, clean entry, less sweet than the nose would suggest, but still some underlying sugariness behind the baked agave. A medium peppery finish followed by a nice sparkly after-finish of receding notes of spice and agave sweetness. This is an elegant tequila from nose to finish, its soft fullness and complexity more than making up for any lack of forwardness. A delicious blanco!

It's got a very clean smooth mouthfeel, immediately sharp and peppery on the tongue, giving flavour notes of green agave, fruit, some faint agave cooked sweetness and a soft tart citrusy tang. Nice medium spice and heat on a very lingering finish. End to end, an excellent tequila! It seems George Clooney et al have tried very hard to create, if not a very forward tequila, a very deliciously balanced and accessible tequila. And what can be wrong with that?

I first tried it at a Sammy Hagar (Wabos-post VH) concert circa 1996. The stuff is just a solid tequila, from the aroma (citrusy) to the finish (nice smooth agave with sweetness). Doesn't have any harshness and it's not one of the "earthy" blancos, which I don't care for. This one is my "go-to" for shots and it's cheap enough (but high quality) to make good drinks with. If this one is on hand at a bar, I will never ask for Patrón. Good stuff!

The smell starts out with a hint of light agave and a little spice and some floral hints. You certainly taste a lot of grass and earth-like meld in your mouth. Couldn't really taste a ton of the agave, I'd say a little roasted agave. It's got a little burn at the end, and it lingers a on your tongue. Probably best for mixing and enjoying with some herb ;) since it's got a grass-like taste to it.

Aroma: Nice clean crisp aroma of agave, citrus and and a trace of alcohol.
Initial Taste: Creamy smooth flavors of sweet agave with citrus, white pepper, and fruit notes.
Body: Creamy and full bodied with slow tears on glass. The flavors are complex, yet nicely balanced with slight alcohol burn.
Finish: Smooth medium-length finish of sweet agave, with white pepper and herbaceous flavors. It finishes with a lingering minty aftertaste and a slight alcohol burn.
Price: RRP of $50
Presentation: The design of the bottle is unique, functional, and rather ultra-modern. It is rectangular shaped with a pour spout on the side and made from heavy duty crystal-clear glass.

Corzo Silver is an excellent blanco that is creamy smooth yet has a complex flavor of sweet agave with hints of citrus, fruit and pepper. It finishes a little harsher than I expected since it is triple distilled. It is not cheap with a RRP of $50, which is more than I want to pay for a blanco. However, I will buy another bottle if I see it on sale as I would like to keep it in my collection. For someone new to tequila who wanted to try a premium blanco, I would probably recommend Herencia Mexicana Blanco or Avion Silver instead.

I also get caramel tones even without a barrel influence in this blanco. Floral tones can be almost medicinal to me sometimes, and this one is borderline, although still very pleasant - more like a fermentation aroma than medicinal in this case. After all this, can you tell it is nicely complex?

The taste is sweet and tart initially. The floral aspect is still there in the forefront, with a little citrus rind bitterness present as well. A solid medium weight body on this - not thin at all.

It has a nice long finish, but you have to embrace the floral and somewhat bitter aspects in order to really enjoy it. What started out as sweet, finished as floral and slightly bitter. There is complexity from start to finish with this tequila, so you kind of have to roll with it. I think it's just a matter of personal preference as to how much you like floral aspects.

This is a super mixer for adding some depth to a cocktail. It is priced at around $30 in my market, which strikes a nice balance between great mixer and decent sipper. I think it's more of a premium mixer for me, although it is 'interesting' as a sipper, and suitable for newbies. An attractive bottle with nice artwork.

I sipped it and it tasted a little fruity with some floral notes. This is a really good blanco, if your willing to shell out a few extra dollars I suggest you try this out. I'm not even much of a sipper but if you like it neat this is a solid tequila for either sipping or mixing. Not sure what some of these reviews are talking about, blancos are suppose to be clean, light, and not too complex. I still taste some complexity with this, a fruity floral taste combined with that agave swirl in your mouth and it is not at all harsh, there's a slight burn but you get that with just about every tequila.

Appearance: Crystal clear
Aroma: Mild agave with citrus, vegetal, and ginseng (earthy wood) notes. A slight aroma of alcohol was also present.
Initial Taste: Agave, honey, vegetal notes, and black pepper. However, there was no alcohol burn.
Body: Buttery mouth feel and slow tears on the glass. The dominant flavors are agave and pepper.
Finish: Smooth medium length finish of sweet agave followed by a very peppery ending which makes it a little rough. After a few sips a slightly earthy or minty aftertaste became noticeable.
Price: RRP: $27.99
Presentation: An attractive contemporary blue bottle. The design certainly catches your eye on a crowded bar shelf.

Milagro Silver has garnered a lot of prestigious awards however, I was somewhat disappointed in my three tastings of it. It seemed to lack character and perhaps this was due to the triple distillation that it undergoes. It would probably make a good mixer but you can find better blancos in the $20 to $30 price range.

While Costco tends to make quality products, I've never tried any of their liquor, and I had some doubts. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! It's a very nice, smooth, 100% agave silver tequila - and it's inexpensive to boot!

I tend to use tequila for making margaritas, and this is perfect! It's not bad straight either. The negatives are nit-picky for a tequila this good and inexpensive - the body is fairly thin, and the presentation is very basic. Given the cost, I really don't mind the presentation - I've paid a lot more for tequila in a fancy bottle that wasn't as good as this.

It's the best bang for the buck that I've found out there to date. It mixes well and it's quite passable for sipping.

Some reviewers complain about the simple bottle. Does it really affect the flavor any? I rather like the bottle. Easy to hold, easy to store (not some awkward bottle that looks like a US state or too tall and narrow to fit into the liquor cabinet), and after drinking the empties make great Molotov's.

If you are a blanco fan then you like the taste of pure agave and that is what El Charro Silver is all about. It is a very smooth sipper that gives you the taste of sweet highland blue agave that is not compromised with other flavors.

For that I apologize. I've been trying not to open more bottles because my current open bottle count got over 350 and that just seemed like too much. But tonight I'm happy to open and try something new. Tonight, it's a blanco from one of my favorite distilleries (NOM 1146) in Purasangre Blanco.

Price: $35-40/bottle

Aroma: A complex, but balanced nose. A buttery agave smell with hints of mint and vegetal notes along with a nice pepper aspect as well.

Initial Taste: It starts out with a very sweet and candied beginning, but moves a bit more to the spicy/peppery side.

Body: A nice oily body. The vegetal notes come forward a bit more. Green peppers stand out with the still present sweetness and pepper.

Finish: A very nice linger on this one. The combo of spicy black pepper is strong and the sweet agave fades away slowly.

This is an all around wonderful blanco. From nose to mouthfeel to flavor to finish, this is exactly what a blanco should bring to the table. Very nice effort from Purasangre!
