It's got a very clean smooth mouthfeel, immediately sharp and peppery on the tongue, giving flavour notes of green agave, fruit, some faint agave cooked sweetness and a soft tart citrusy tang. Nice medium spice and heat on a very lingering finish. End to end, an excellent tequila! It seems George Clooney et al have tried very hard to create, if not a very forward tequila, a very deliciously balanced and accessible tequila. And what can be wrong with that?

They have all these stories on the "special" process but I don't believe that the taste is no more than softeners and additives to achieve this smoothness. It's acceptable but nothing special. The resting for 2 months, helps to make this blanco smooth with little burn, but there's more going on. It has a creamy vanilla, nutty nose and the taste is light in the oil and agave, it's creamy, spicy, citrusy and somewhat enjoyable. Saying it's smooth, is an understatement, which is where the controversy comes in. It is pleasant to drink, and a newcomer to tequila can easily be fooled by the smoothness and the hype. NOT a top quality clean and bold tequila by a long shot.
