The nose presents floral, peppery, spice and a touch of orange. The initial feeling is of light to medium oil, with a slight burn,to a spicy/peppery floral and maybe a touch of cinnamon taste. The finish is spicy heat with a medium linger. I love the bottle except the waxed top- They have to change that- it's very hard to open and close each time. An enjoyable blanco.- Long Island Lou

I picked it up for $40.99 on March 1, 2013. The bottle is great. The cap has a cool melted wax covering it. Although it was often difficult to open because of how wide the cap was and that it was rather flat.

Once opened, the tequila inside was great. Nothing really remarkable about the tequila comes to mind compared to others that I have had. I greatly enjoyed it neat and in margaritas.

I would recommend it to anyone but I would not buy another bottle. I have given it a high rating because I really enjoyed it. I just do not remember any flavor from the tequila distinguishing it from others that I have had.

The problem with 1921 is that the rubber cork expanded or the cap was just too slim to open. It was very aggravating and left my hands red. But once the bottle was open I forgot all about the troubles of popping the top as this tequila was very good. Nothing about the tequila itself stuck out to me but overall a great tequila.

First off i must say im only a tequila blanco sipper with all do respect to my repo and aniejo fans. O.k lets get down to the nitty gritty. 1921 blanco 100% agave for me is the best bang for my buck. Not only because i purchase it for (21 dollars half price compared to the states) in Los algodones mexico, but the tequila itself is smooth and the overall a great sipping spirit. Im really picky and this tequila is a great blanco. If i run out i dont mind spending 50 dollars for this tequila. Every sip is well worth it. The buzz is great and no hangover. I really support this tequila for all you new blanco rookies or veterans. The burn is almost none. I get a pure agave, not to strong presence. The intial taste is pure agave. The enjoyability is second to none being a blanco fan. The price like i said is well worth it. The presentaion is classy. Really nice bottle with the whole revolution theme and the wax seal is outstanding. Like i said you want the real deal try this. You wont be let down!

Snag all of the 1079's you can get. The tequila tracker was right on this one. Thank you BOB. this was delicious

The first time I had it I was getting alot of dill and fresh herbs. tonight I tasted it along 7LB, Milagro select blanco, ocho 2009 plata, and boy did I smell things differently.

I was smelling a blueberry candy and the taste confirmed the smell. I still got the fresh herb taste but this night in particular I was detecting a spicy blueberry agave thing going on. It is absolutely declious.

A game changer in the blanco department. I havenot tried the new offerings but I will continue to snatch up in 1079 noms. I live in the bay area, so if you live in the bay area, please keep these on the shelves for me to find. THANK YOU

Hodafez!

I generally like the smoothness of aged tequilas a bit more, but this tequila seemed even a bit more harsh in the initial taste with a alcohol than most blancos.

The flavor is not a sweet agave flavor. It's an earthy and spicy tequila. The finish is nice and the overall taste is good, but it's not at the very top of my list. However, it is a good value for blanco lovers at the price of $35-40 a bottle.

Tasted in a Riedel tequila glass 15.06.2010
Herbal nose, i smell basil, mint and bitter oranges.
Good mouth feel, but way to much spirit burn.
Quite bitter aftertaste, beeing a blanco, this is strange because i get
a sligtly woody taste.
Maybe a bad batch, but not my type of blanco.
The bottle is very nice though.
The wax seal is also very cool, but a pull tab like Makers Mark would be a nice touch.

A strong alcohol initial taste seemed to be the only thing I didn't love about this blanco, but that didn't last long. Let it sit for a few minutes before sipping. I like the traditional feel of the bottle.

Tasted out of double ball glass. This is a very unique blanco, although very reminiscent of Herencia Mexicana all the way through except for the finish. I rated the finish based on my personal preference (well, that's how all my ratings are), but up until then, I think this blanco is pretty darn good.
I don't think I'd be rushing out to get this one again though. The black licorice finish just isn't my vibe. But if it's yours, this is where its at.

Aroma: A very floral nose. I mean very floral and earth. After reading other reviews stating they detected 'wet cement', I swirled the glass many times and sniffed. I finally got the same. I don't know if I would have detected that without reading a previous review.
Initial Taste: A semi oily mouth feel. Its nice and sweet with no bitterness. First taste I detected was fruity.
Body: The body evolves into a very spicy and earthy agave.
Finish: A heated finish of medium duration, and with a lingering of black licorice.

The color is crystal clear with nice legs. (Take your time opening the beautiful wax top). The nose reminds me of newly poured cement, ozone, sour dough agave, & light alcohol. The initial taste is smoky sweet with cinnamon, nutmeg, & cloves. Very spicy. The body is light medium to medium & remarkably smooth. The finish rolls off the tongue from middle to back & reaches deep into the throat with the essence of licorice. This is one smooth tequila from start to finish & is one of the tastiest tequila's I've ever experienced. 1921 Tequila Blanco ranks with the very best top shelf tequila's. I think it's one of the top 5 blancos that are available on a regular basis. One of the big scents that people associate with the typical blanco is wet cement, and this tequila has an abundance of it.
