I really enjoyed it. I had only been exposed to Patron prior to 1800 so this made it the 2nd best tequila I had ever had. It is now towards the bottom but there are a few below it.

Good for parties and mixing. So so for shooting.

The cap is cool as you can fill it with tequila.

With that being said, I just want my tequila to have a reasonably pleasant flavor and not too much bite, and the Reserva 1800 Silver fulfills those requirements nicely. Also, you made read that the bottle is boring/dated, but I love the bottle. It's a "cool" shape that's extremely stable (by design?), and the cap/stopper is of cork, which also happens to serve as a "shot-glass"(What more could you want?). Then there's the price (About 20 bucks). If you pay (much) less than $20.00 for a bottle of anything, you risk alcohol poisoning, but that won't be a problem with any of the 1800's! As you read these reviews, keep in mind that people will regularly pay well over a $100.00 for a bottle of liquor, and you should weigh they're opinions on that basis.

With steak, tomatoes dancing in a bit of cumin and olive oil and a hit of pablanos juiced up, I found this tequila poignant tho rough @ the end. It's definitely a powerhouse, sippin' all the way. Mix it? Egads, probably some fruity girly drink; nah, best to stay shy of those.

Fragrant liquorice comes to mind immediately; definitely not as subtle as Patron (difficult to mimic the gods). But there's a tender "middle" to 1800, which dances a bit before the finish.

Going to have to visit this a few times before the bottle retires...

I was actually surprised a little with the 1800, in that I thought I would like it less. On the nose there was a lot of petrol with some agave and earth. The palate had some herbaciousness as well a lot of licorice which I found to be quite pleasing there was a bit of tar on the back end which diminished the pleasure a bit for me. the body wasn't overly complex but ok.
The finish had a bit too much bite for me but was fairly long lasting. Overall this isn't bad for the price and might mix nice in some cocktails as there is a little depth here but still loads of other tequilas I would take before buying.
Presentation is what has inhibited me from trying before as it is very bland/dated.

For $19 a bottle, u can't beat the value of 1800 silver. I really like its unique flavor. A sort of heavy agave/floral/smoke flavor Ive never found in other tequilas. A decent blanco that would also mix well.

Initial Taste: Intense floral, and smoke. The floral being Geranium.
Initial Taste: A semi oily mouth feel. Upon entry its sweet with low bitterness. Initial taste was of floral.
Body: A heavy agave body, complimented by floral, earth, and smoke.
Finish: A semi heated finish of medium duration with an obvious lingering of agave/floral.

With a clear color, 1800 Silver has moderate aromas of floral and smoke. Mild aromas consist of earth, fruit, and vanilla. The tequila has a bitterness to it and a sweet aftertaste. Initial flavors are intense agave and floral. There are also moderate earthy, spicy, and smoky flavors. A tingly alcohol intensity and a medium duration of flavor bring this tequila experience to an end. This tequila received the rating of B-.
