Really? DO you really stand behind this anejo and think it's one of the best???
Im sad to report that my experience with this anejo wasn't any better than my experience with their blanco. Maybe I got a 'bad' bottle. My experience throughout was 'sour'. A sour initial Taste to a sour finish... My apologies, but I cannot recommend this tequila.

The triangle bottle is both unique and classy. Very well done bottle.

Among the things that caught my attention regarding the presentation was the claim on the bottle that it was aged for three years. Unfortunately, it tasted more like three months for me. If it were a reposado it would have been much better for me, but as an anejo it was lacking a little bit.

It had a citrus nose with a touch of wood. The tasted was kind of an amber flavor, and was a little too oaky with lemon. I didn't love the oak flavor in this as it was reminiscent of reposado's, which I don't love.

Overall this was just an OK anejo for me, but I do love the bottle.

This tequila has a beautiful medium golden color which open with scents of earth, almonds, caramel, & vanilla. The initial taste was spicy aged agave, orange, & oak. It has a medium to medium/heavy body that finishes with a delightfully long duration & ends with a bouquet of caramelized fruit. This spirit is very smooth with absolutely no alcohol burn whatsoever. The very end exhibits a wonderfully nice, warm glow that lingers for quite some time. Sol Dios Anejo is worth seeking out for it's taste, unique aesthetic presentation, & overall value. Granted there are better anejo's on the market but for mucho mas dinero!

The initial scent was fairly typical for an anejo, a good agave scent with a bit of an alcohol tinge.
The first sip has a fair agave flavor with a bit of a burn, but not too much. The burn does add up so at the end of the 1 1/2 oz, there was a slight numbing sensation.
Overall not a bad tequila, I was a bit disappointed since the bottle claims it has been aged for at least 3 years, yet it tasted about the same as most 12-18 month anejos.
This could be a good tequila to pick up, depending on the price. My local store doesnt carry it, but online prices vary from $35-$55. I would pay $40 tops, there's better for $45.
